Florian Erwerth
( Who builds the apps )
I build apps with React Native and Expo. Ideally from the first line of code all the way to the store.
I've been a mobile and frontend developer for over four years, and before that I spent three years training as an IT specialist. Most recently I helped build an app that around 130,000 people use every month. I work best when I'm close to design, product and backend. Remote works just as well for me.
And in the evenings I sit down with my own apps. You'll find all of them here.

Career
-
2019–2022
Apprenticeship at T-Systems Multimedia Solutions
IT specialist for application development, finished with a 1.9 (on the German scale, 1 is the best). During that time I tried out a lot with VR and the Nreal AR glasses and built prototypes, for example a virtual apartment viewing. My final project was an SDK for building VR prototypes like that.

2022
My first own app: Pure Weight
My first own app: a fitness tracker built with Expo, for workouts, progress and charts. For the Pro version I added in-app purchases with RevenueCat, and I got the app into the Apple App Store myself.
-
2022–2024
Web developer at Check24
Here I worked with React and TypeScript in a big team. I built new features together with product, QA and backend. On the side I looked after the component library the whole company uses and took a big monolith apart into smaller projects.
-
2024–2026
MetaFlow from scratch, at Ambient Digital
Here I built MetaFlow with Expo from scratch, with the Shopify login, the onboarding and the gamification. The data comes in through TanStack Query, the state lives in MobX and Jotai, and the app speaks several languages. Builds and releases run through GitLab CI and EAS.

Since 2026
App developer at MetaFlow
Now I am right in the MetaFlow product team. The app runs on iOS and Android and has around 130,000 users a month. I build features from planning to release, build a design system together with design, and make sure the app keeps up with new versions of iOS, Android and Expo.
